Why Blogposts Should Make a Return By Aidan Hellrigel
Blogposts are something that have for the most part disappeared. Most people only consume media through YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, etc. The type of social media that is quick. It doesn’t take much effort to understand the material. Where as, with blogposts, they take effort to write out, and that takes some effort to understand the source material, which is our thoughts.
Okay, that first paragraph did not make much sense. I use to write out blogposts when I first backed away from mainstream social media, but now I am like, why don’t I go back to writing out these blogposts. I have two types of blogposts. I have my “Journal” entries and my “BlogPosts” which are more formal. The blogposts will be more direct in topic, whereas the journal entries will just be short quips I have on certain things I am going through day to day. There is X.com and Threads, but I haven’t seen a good use case for those yet on my own website.
That’s the other thing, I will be broadcasting both my journal entries and blogposts to my website, www.aidanhellrigel.com, I wouldn’t know how to mirror tweets or posts on threads. I think I will use letterboxd and story graph entries on my website, by having a Movie Review and Book Review section to my page.
All this material will stir up content for my podcast “We Can Make It Better” which will go over topics in depth in regards to morality, truth, etc. It will be for 1 hour to start off. I literally can just do my first live, right now, and just talk about all the things I have been discussing on the multiple output streams I have laid out.
The blogposts and written material will be much easier to create; audio material just as well. The podcast a step up; especially when it comes to broadcasting that onto other platforms like Podbean, Spotify, etc. Which I think I should do to make it seem as a “official” podcast.
I want clarify that I think having multiple written output streams is most important as a foundation as the universe is made up of words. While most people won’t interact with my written material, I think it is the best way to get my thoughts solidified, compared to even audio, as audio recordings are more fleeting in comparison to written material.
So, in conclusion to my title, blogposts should make a return as it will allow people to think more clearly, and will allow people to expand their own consciousness. Thank you for reading.
