Dating Apps Are Horrible

… and I am NEVER Using Them Again

Welcome all to an updated web-page. I have decided to remove all the extra junk. No more videos section, no more podast section, let’s just jump right into the written word.

It’s something that is missing in the information age. You’d think information and think the written word, yet, it’s vapid. It’s no something we really dive into collectively. It’s on a smaller scale. Like the readers of this blog. My readers, are probably quite small. If you are reading this, you either found me interesting in person and wanted to learn more about my takes. I really doubt people on the web are finding this site. Never say never though.

Okay, back on track with the content of today’s blogpost. I wanted dive into the reasons why Dating Apps are trash, and should just go straight in the bin.

First off, it’s a weird way to meet someone. I disagree with the notions “it’s a technology, it’s how you use it”. No. Dating apps treat people like pieces of meat. It dehumanizes and attempts to shrink one’s character into a few lines of text, a selection of 10 or so photos (less sometimes) and that isn’t something that can summarize a person. My blog, a person could learn far more about me than they ever could on a dating app.

It’s full of anxious individuals.

Perhaps this is due more-so to the people I attract on dating apps, for everyone I attracted on them seems to have some form of personality defect when it comes to attachment style. It seems that many of the people on date on these apps either ghost entirely, or lovebomb me, overshare information, it’s weird. For me, I actually have never dated a women from the community. It’s always through the phone! Let me do a breakdown on all the people I know and how we got to know eachother. It’s always via text. The whole texting thing is a problem within itself texting removes one from the presence of their lives. I am sooooo anti-phone these days. That’s part of the reason I am doing blogposts. My thoughts will be forever recorded online. The depth of my character will be discoverable. It’s far more swag than texting. Texting is a means to an end. I text X person, “Would you like to go snow skiing?” They reply “Yes. Let’s do it. Would you like me to call on x day at x time?” Then I plan a phone call, we talk out what we will do that day. Texting is really weird!! It’s no different than social media, with the way people use it. I don’t need to be in constant communication with someone! It DRIVES my anxiety up the wall! I would rather date in the sense of the person being in the circles I attend. Let’s say I do yoga. I go to yoga class. I see the same woman every day. We get to chatting, eventually 3 months later, I ask them on a date. THAT’S WAY more healthy than talking to someone for a month over text, hanging out on a date! Since my interactions were in person, they actually got to know a truer version of myself! The texting version of myself can be fake, a facade. I’d say it’s inherent to the medium. People can take time to respond. They can alter there stance. Anyways, that’s the anxious section of this blogpost. People are just less likely to go out in public, so they go onto the dating sites. I would rather join 5-6 clubs that I regularly go to, be brave, and ask a woman I like out at those clubs.
