Yeah, you see that new badass on the street, reading his Kindle? Damn right, that’s Aidan Fucking Hellrigel.
Hello folks, welcome to another blogpost :D
It’s been a minute since I have been up-to-date on my posts. While, it’s be a hard fought battle, I know now, that social media is NOT the way. No, no, no, I was deceived. While it’s easier to post on the ‘socials’ it’s much more difficult to stay focused with the socials. I would rather just post on my website. Sure, I’ll have less eyes, …. But maybe that’s the point… maybe I only want people who are interested in what I have to say consuming my blog-posts. Maybe I don’t want to have followers or fans who watch and consume TikTok. I know I don’t want to be that person. I know I don’t want to consume TikToks. I know I don’t want to be the person who watches YouTube videos all day. I know I want to be (the fucking warrior who reads his Kindle woooooooooooooooooo)
Alrighty, next order of business, discussing the books I have been reading. I have been reading a TON of different books lately. Here is a quick overview.
The Manipulated Man Esther Vilar
I haven’t finished this one yet, she makes some solid points though, on how society grooms woman into enslaving men, I would say that her points are arguing well. I really found it interesting, who usually the woman in the family will tell the men not to cry, because boys and men don’t cry, and how this leads to men only expressing this emotion during high intensity experiences (like a death in the family) whereas woman would cry over small things (like their favorite glass breaking) and how men’s perspective on the crying is like “damn they really are upset” while for the woman it’s just ahhhh bit of tears no biggie, and how that can be played into the manipulation.
Another interesting point in this book, was music. It described how Men pine after woman as the god in their lives. I have experienced this myself. I have noticed that when I fall for someone, I hold them as the god in my mind. It’s really disturbing that I do this, although I find solace in the fact other men do it as well, and as Esther observed. It’s interesting too, now that I am writing this all out, I will definitely say it’s true! When I have fallen for someone, I would speak to them about my thoughts in my head. It’s not a great mental habit, and it’s something I must change. I know that when I was catholic, I used to speak to Jesus in my head, so it’s almost like I replaced my god as a woman I was dating. I wouldn’t say this always happens, only when the woman seems like Mrs. Right. I have heard that this could be because of intermittent reinforcement, and perhaps that would dive into my attachment wounds for dating people who are hot/cold. That’s a story for another time. Who knows, maybe that reinforcement is apart of the manipulation woman perform on men.
The Honeymoon Effect by Bruce Lipton
Bruce is one of those authors you just love to read. This guy, really makes you feel like change is possible. In his book, The Honeymoon Effect, he goes over how to attract your match/lover. This is a rad supplementary piece of work next to the manipulated man. It’s less grounded sure, it’s based on new physics. The new physics is the wave though man, it’s more real than the false newtonian physics. Bruce dives in that in this book. I believe this is his work after The Biology of Belief, which discusses the differences in quantum physics and newtonian physics. Basically he describes how what we feel creates our reality. If we are having good thoughts, we are attract good things into our lives. It’s like this, if you keep worrying about something going wrong, it will go wrong. It’s sort of in the branch thought of Esther Hicks or the work of Abraham. It’s very much a new age book. What I like about Bruce though, is that he dives into the side of things that scientific, and balances it through that way.
Taboo: Sex, Magic, Religion
I started this book back during the summer. I decided to finish it up within the last couple of days. It was a really nice way to get in to Lon Milo’s work. I have tons of books by him. I also started reading up on a book about our “secret lover’ or guardian angel. I would really want to stuff Thelema and Tarot. That world interests me a ton. I am against all forms of religion, yet, it seems that Thelema is a solid branch of the occult and magick that goes into each different mystery tradition and school of thought.
Alright everyone, thanks for reading, I will keep reading as well. I am cooking up another blogpost shortly.
Best,
Aidan
