Bye Bye Apple Watch, Hello Garmin 110

By Aidan Hellrigel

Good Morning my fellow website enthusiasts. Today, I uploaded my first bit of data from my new Garmin 110 watch. My first interaction with the .fit file format was tremendous. Instead of having no control over my health data, like my apple watch, I am now able to see the file which contains my run. I simply connected my Garmin 110 to my computer, mounted to the watch to my computer, (I used the command sudo mount -t exfat), Used ranger to quickly and swiftly grab the file, copy it using dd and pasted it using pp. I now have a folder on my computer which will store all garmin run data for me. This is great, and brings me more control to my life.

Apple is now officially gone. I finished deleting and logging out of the icloud on my devices. I would like to sell them, but I have heard horror stories of people selling old apple devices they owned and the owner finding old photos or data on them again. This seems to be a glitch or bug. This has me weary. I am ashamed that I let my data be in the hands of a evil company like Apple.

Never Again.

Today I will be going kayaking, It should be a hoot and a half. I am looking forward to this fun adventure.
