This stance is new for me. I started to adopt this stance, as I have been detaching from problematic sources of attention. This includes (but it is not limited to) the television, smart phones, social media, video, and advertising. For the most part.
My relationship with Porn began very early on in life. Around 7th grade, I was instantly hooked. Especially in middle schoo. For some asburd reason, people normalize this. It’s absolutely gross, and I generally don’t support the usage of porn. I am for sure Anti-Porn. It’s not sexually shaming someone either. The industry first off is horrible. Beyond that, we can get into the health consquences. It’s like, we shouldn’t shame people for it, yet at the same time, I see it as a moral issue, completely unethical in general to watch porn. So let me say that right off the bat.
So I continued to watch Porn up until now. Really, I am so impressed with myself not watching really since may/june of 2026. Obviously I tried to stop before, yet this most reason go around, seems to be permanent. I have so many reasons in my mind not to, that I really am not worried about it. I am not worried I might “relapse on porn”.
The reasons porn is insidious stem from the taboo factor. It’s “weird” to discuss. In reality, it really isn’t, it’s just an a-buse of human sexuality. Pornography, is an abuse of human sexuality. There is no “moral way” to consume it. Let’s dive into my arguments.
Porn is Cheating
Without a doubt, porn is cheating. Sex is an inherent emotion bond. Sex literally plays off certain chemicals in your mind. So when you masturbate, you are effectively bonding with the television screen or your phone. Which is a problem within it’s self. Most people watch porn on their phones these days, which is just wild to think back on. I am really glad I no longer do that. That world is insane to me, to be apart of that. People do it though! People on reddit constantly watch porn. Tons of people post porn on reddit. I am not a fan of pornography.
Porn destroys relationships
Without a doubt, I have seen this happen to people close to me in my life. I know someone who had a porn addiction, and they way they viewed sex, warped the relationships they were in. It’s like instead of being okay to be in union with Tammy, you’d also want to be with Greg, Mindy, and Bob. (random names). I am not even arguing against group-sex or swinging. Policules can work I don’t support the idea of polyamory though, it just seems like most people use that as an excuse to partake in hook-up culture with I am also for sure against.
These are critical takes now, and I am really getting my thoughts out on this. Realising this is troubling as there are different ways to look at it. Just the way the dating apps have evolved, I would be curious to see if that’s a new feature, with terms like “open relationship” or “polyamarous” new additions?
I would go as far to say, that having a dating app is cheating. Obviously, if you are into the lies of dating apps, and still use them, that argument falls apart as, well it just seems like to me that dating apps are designed, in a weird way to keep you on them, and that I can’t see someone deleting dating apps if they use them. It’s like my descisions to delete them stem from a) It’s a false bond, it’s not real b) bonding over text before meeting is weird c) odds are people who use dating apps also have social media, and I wouldn’t want to be dating someone with social media, I don’t think that would make much sense. I think. This is all just coming out all at once for my site, hm.
So I went to a party, and I met people there, and my anxiety is just thinking about sex, why though? Because of the programming of pornography has warped the way I interacted. It’s gotta be. It’s because I am picturing everyone undressed, it’s an intrusive thought. That thought 100%, without a doubt stems from pornography. It’s weird because on one hand, I don’t think it’s weird to be around other people nude. Nudity does NOT equal sex. Due to a corrupt society, where it’s actually ILLEGAL to be nude. WILD. I am BORN nude, yet if I go outside nude, IT’S A PROBLEM?!?!?! That’s slavery.
That’s the problem, people don’t realize that not being able to freely go outside nude, is totally a violation of rights. It’s without a doubt wrong. No harm is being done by being nude. NADA. So how is it illegal? It’s not a moral violation.
Comparing the moral violations versus unhealthy-ness. This is so important when you get into understanding natural law. Natural law is also here, to guide us. If I take a wrong action, a equal action would be returned to me. I have noticed a ton of pain when it comes to my romantic/sexual partners, it’s a cycle of abuse, and alot of the time it seems that I am the common denomaniator.
I would love to have multiple sex partners or whatever. It would be ‘cool’ right? It’s just that, I have trouble bonding with most of the population. That’s why people call me austistic, as I will not comply to the crap they have been selling us. I can fake it, and I have. Yet, using social media is just not good It’s mind control. Social media is without a doubt mind control. Which is why I am against the idea of being sexual with anyone that uses it. That’s tough man, that’s a large boundary. It’ll be tough. Atleast, I would find myself in situations that speak to me, that are straight from in person. My social network is built off of memory, location, my phone. My phone only has SMS and Signal. That’s the only way to contact me, and I want to keep it that way. As time goes on, I could adjust to even less, so I really can be by myself. I would rather be by myself, or with people in person. I don’t want to the psuedo in between stuff. I will use text more probably, and actually develop a relationship with people through it. It would be nice to have convos with people once and a while, I just don’t want to be texting one person all the damn time. I do that for some reason with people on dating apps. It’s always the dating app people too! That probably comes from a) my own screen addiction b) there own screen addiction c) the combo just leads to over-texting. It’s not a good way to bond. Probably, like I said the in between, but mainly call or write letters.
No Porn, No Dating Apps, No Social Media, No Television
All of these things removed from my life. I am so glad I am taking this journey. It’s been a painful road to get to this point, I just know that it’s the best for me not to use these technologies. Even right now, I feel shy! I basically am giving the world access to my thoughts. I am able to write this all out, because I have no idea who would see it. I am also confident that people are too lazy to read through all my posts. I really don’t know though! It might be cool, to see feedback, I also just love love love, how revealing it is, I don’t have shame sharing all my thoughts, and I know I will tighten up my posts as time goes on. I have trouble getting to the meat and bones, and focus on trival topics or other topics on my mind.
The struggles is that I don’t lay out my reasons why I have this worldview. I could say, more straightforward, that I have had problems with dating, and I am attributing this to Pornography. I’d say that’s accurate. It’s not the only reason. I’d say this though, an environment that allows for a child to use Pornography as a crutch. That’s the different between myself and others. Other people, maybe didn’t have such a pull towards it as I did. I did, as my living situation was very damaging to me (television as a parent, always playing video games or watching the television), hoarding, terrible diet, confusion when it came to worldview to adopt, I sort of feel that it was difficult to adopt my own worldview, and now I struggle when it comes to laying down the law when it comes to my worldview, and how I am not going to be argued out of it. Developing reasons, to argue my worldview helps, I just have learned that debating does nothing and just fuels the circus.
Wow, this was a revealing blogpost, still I know that people will relate, and sharing it outwards helps. I’d bet many would agree with me. It’s also cool, as now I have another blogpost about pornography, even if it’s a bit more chaotic.
Moving Forward
Since I am not watching pornography or using social media or dating apps. How will I socialize? Welp, right now, I sort of am. I am letting myself and the world be my own therapist. I’d love to get into my views on therapy in another blogpost.
Signing off, Aidan
