It’s one of those midterm election years, and certain people are telling others to vote. I would say, you shouldn’t vote, in many ways I see people who vote as bad people. It’s a character defect. It sadly effects me socially, when I have this stance. People who vote, uphold the immoral actions due by the state. YOU ARE DIRECTLY CONSENTING TO THE ATROCIOUS ACTIONS THE STATE PERFORMS! People won’t see this though. They’ve been duped, through the education and schooling system, through the media, through friends and family, that voting is somehow “a moral responsibility”, no, if you vote, you are taking the WRONG action.
There are RIGHTs and there are WRONGs, I would argue that abdicating responsibility is a WRONG. Voting is adbicating your responsibility. It’s saying “I am not responsibile for that, this other person here will take care of it, for me”.
The idea that the power goes to the people is a lie. It’s not true!
Regardless, it wouldn’t matter. Let’s say that the majority rules, yet the majority has been raised and groomed to accept immoral actions. Let’s say the populus was educated on the wrong material, slowly over generations, and the majority ended up believing that it’s okay to steal. Let’s make it simple, let’s say that theft was normalized. So now, we must accept that theft is okay because the majority said so? When theft is INHERENTLY wrong by natural law standards?
There should be no government. The only government is the government inside the self. That’s why I consider myself an internal monoarchist and a external anarchist. People argue that anarchy would be chaos, when in reality, once people got their minds right internally, knew the differences between right and wrong, then the actions that they took didn’t harm others. The maxim “do no harm and take no crap” So I am not saying people shouldn’t defend themselves, I am saying that people should take agression. Non-aggression coupled with the Self-Defense principles.
Ultimately, people should absolutely step away from voting, and disentangle any part they still hold to the state. It took me a while to realize that the corporations are also the state too, and I’ve been working on removing myself from Amazon and other online retailers. I have taken the stance of not accessing the web at all, through browsers. I have set-up my smartphone as a tool for online banking with the apps, no browser. I know that eventually I will have to use a browser, I just don’t want to as it’s a dangerous for someone like me who’s on the path. I am on the path of learning and growing and I don’t want to be derailed by using web browsers. It’s the LED glow that I am addicted too, not even the browser persay. The first thing I did this morning was open up my DebianBook Air to write out this post. It’s so cool. I love how my thoughts are out there now. That’s all that matter when it comes to internet involvement. I can get my thoughts out, and do my own consumption of articles, blogs, and books offline. I also have w3m to access sites, and that minimalism is a-mazing.
When people tell me to vote, I will be telling them no, I won’t vote as it’s against the morals, and I don’t think anyone should be voting. This isn’t a personal belief! Yes, I am self-righteous! I would want to work on having my voice heard, as I grew up in a environment where my true self was always disturbed, it seemed, and now that voice is inside of me, working on re-programming myself would be important, and that plays into the idea of detachment from the internet.
Next time I talk about this subject I will draft out bigger arguements for my points.
Best, Aidan
